Meet the Founder

Katelyn Huber, BCBA

Why I Started Everyday Behavioral Consulting

After years of working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) across diverse home, school, and clinical environments, I noticed a consistent gap in traditional behavioral health care: families were often left out of the driver's seat.

Too many parents found themselves navigating long waitlists for formal diagnoses or managing rigid models that didn't translate into real, everyday home life. When challenges arose around bedtime, communication, or daily routines, parents needed action-oriented support now—not months down the road.

I founded Everyday Behavior Consulting to offer a direct, family-centered alternative. By removing the hurdles of medical labels and insurance constraints, I partner directly with parents to deliver immediate, evidence-based tools tailored to your unique household.

Important Service Note: Everyday Behavioral Consulting provides family and parent coaching, educational consultation, and environmental design. We do not provide medical services, clinical diagnoses, or insurance-billed behavioral health treatment. Our services are designed to give parents direct, evidence-based leadership tools to foster long-term home harmony.

Specializations, Advocacy & Military Partnership

  • Functional Language Development & Non-Verbal Communication: I specialize in non-verbal communication techniques and am passionate about practical language development. I love partnering closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to ensure communication systems (PECS/AAC) seamlessly bridge speech goals and functional daily living at home. If you are on a waiting list for speech services or for a device I can also help you bridge the gap and jumpstart progress so the time you wait is not wasted.

  • ABA Navigation & Treatment Plan Advocacy: Transitioning into or evaluating clinical ABA can feel overwhelming. I am happy to help you navigate what to look for in a clinical provider, guide you on how to advocate effectively for your child, and help you decode complex initial ABA treatment plans.

  • Military Family Support: As a military spouse, I know firsthand the unique difficulties that come with military life—frequent relocations, last-minute plan changes, single-parenting during deployments, and constant unpredictability. I love partnering with military families to tackle these specific challenges head-on. To support those who serve, I offer sliding scale pricing across all consultation tiers.

You Are in the Right Place If:

  • Traditional ABA Isn't the Right Fit for Your Lifestyle: If standard clinic-based therapy doesn't align with your family's values, or you simply aren't ready to invite 20 to 40 hours a week of technician visits into your home, we offer a direct, parent-led alternative tailored to your real life.

  • You Want to Unlock the Universal Power of Reinforcement: Positive reinforcement, routine structuring, and environmental design aren't just clinical tools—they are human tools. Whether shaping habits for toddlers, teenagers, or even adults, reinforcement-based strategies build positive connection and independence. You shouldn't need a medical diagnosis or insurance approval to access practical behavioral tools that work.

  • You Need Immediate Support While Waiting for Formal Services: Long waitlists shouldn't mean sitting in limbo. We act as an empowering bridge, helping you implement immediate, proactive strategies at home so your family gains momentum, stability, and a strong foundation right now.
